Safety is the number one priority at American Trades Contracting. Unfortunately, it is not a top priority for all businesses.
The construction industry is of high concern, as construction laborers are some of the most labor-intensive jobs in America. At American Trades Contracting, we take safety seriously and ensure that everyone we cross paths with is properly trained, certified and educated.
Jobsite Safety Programs
To fully support a safe working environment for everyone involved, we take a multifaceted approach. First, we offer multiple job site safety campaigns and programs to educate our employees, as well as our clients and their employees. Promoting safe working environments can only be successful when everyone is on the same page.
Another way we support safe working conditions is by keeping in constant communication with our clients on job sites. Our consultants want to know what’s going on at all times so that we can step in and help if needed. We also have a mandatory policy for employees to wear their PPE (personal protective equipment) at all times. This equipment may include safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, earplugs, coveralls, vests or hard hats.
Employee OSHA Training
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, is our commitment to OSHA safety training. All employees are expected to complete our OSHA safety training program, and we are happy to do the same for you and your clients. To be in compliance with OSHA, a safe workplace is mandatory and must be free from known dangers. The goal of OSHA is to encourage protective workplace safety and health standards.
Safety is crucial for a number of reasons. It protects your reputation, provides employees with a positive, safe place to work and keeps your business in good standing. By filling positions with safety-minded individuals with the proper training, you can reduce worker comp claims, reduce HR costs and complete projects on time.
